Hi! Thanks for visiting.
On our life's journey, we may come to a point of needing to take a pause, reflect, and explore our story. It is my passion to come alongside those who are curious as well as those who care for the hurting. From my training, experience and my own story, I am writing a book on healing trauma.

About Me
This is my fourth career, fifth, if you count the volunteer fire department during college. I’m sure some are wondering what is up. Some days I wonder the same thing. My experiences as counselor, supervisor and counselor educator have moved me deeply. In this field, we cannot help but be transformed personally. I process best with pen and paper, or laptop, if necessary. I’ve been curious about life, culture and people for a very long time, so a move into the field of counseling fit well. And, I knew this was a calling by God. Unlike most authors, reading and writing was not a passion of mine from way back. It grew slowly. After moving to Charlotte, NC, I began journaling and never stopped. A decade later I entered graduate school. Writing papers was a new and frightening experience after an undergraduate degree of writing software. Oddly, I began to receive very positive feedback. I grew to become an observer through words. During my counseling career, I have had clients and workshop participants ask when I would write a book. So, now is the time. For many years, books have been, and continue to be written in my heart, inspired by my own life’s journey, my advanced training and my clients’ bravery to enter the dark and painful places of their stories. It is from this place that I have a passion to write. I desire to publish works that point to the hope of healing.
